First Visit

What To Expect At Your First Visit

Thank you for visiting our website and learning about the services and support our team provides every time you step into our practice. Choosing a new dentist is a very important decision – and there’s a lot that goes into it – so please call us if you have any questions. We’ll be happy to answer them honestly and thoroughly. It’s our hope that we can welcome you to Children’s Dental Specialists & Adult Dentistry.

Treatment Coordination

At Children’s Dental Specialists & Adult Dentistry, we work together to deliver top-notch customer service in a calm atmosphere. Your dental care and its administration will be provided with kindness, understanding, and efficiency. Please attend your appointment 10 minutes early so that you can complete your Patient Intake forms.

Hygiene

When you come in for your first appointment, we’ll ensure a comfortable amount of time to get to know each other and to get the fundamentals of you or your child’s dental care needs and wants. We will spend a bit more time with you at this first appointment than with your regular re-care appointments so that we can do a thorough assessment to ensure an accurate treatment plan that’s specific to your smile.

Practice Tour

Sometimes patients feel more comfortable having a pre-appointment tour – and if you or your child are one, we encourage you to call! Meet our doctors and our team. If you’re like many people who are anxious about dentistry, the tour will help you to feel more comfortable. Please call us to arrange a visit!

Doctor Checkup

Meet your doctor and discuss your oral health needs and desires. The findings of a thorough exam will be reviewed and a treatment plan will be developed based on what will be best for you and your child. We’ll recommend a personalized re-care schedule, and if you’d like, we can even cover some cosmetic options.

Diagnostics

Used to create a baseline upon which future care is determined, we will use digital x-rays to see what the eye can’t … and we’ll share our findings with you almost immediately! We also have an intraoral camera so you can see what we see. This helps with treatment planning.
